Jan Childs

Jim Brearley
Background includes 13 years experience in leadership and personal development training with the Royal Air Force. A former Officer Commanding of the RAF’s premier Outdoor Development Centre with an annual throughput of 2,500 delegates.
Programme design and training delivery responsibility for a number of commercial companies using outdoor activities as a medium for management and personal development. A proven track record in the development of high performance teams, with a passion for the continuing development of emotionally intelligent leadership.  
Ian  Leath
20 years experience as senior director for a multinational aerospace company with project management responsibility at £b level. Extensive business development experience in the manufacturing, aerospace, IT and defence sectors.  Now EQ4U  Strategic  Business  Adviser  and  Executive  Coach. 
Masters in Business Administration, BA (Honours) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Member of the Institute of Management and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Colin Harwood
Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Registered Auditor with 30 years experience both in practice and commerce at  a senior level, with commercial experience being primarily in the insurance  industry. Experience  includes  the  introduction of a mainframe  accounting  package in a company with turnover in excess of £100M.  
Currently in varied own professional accountancy practice with extensive and client base in addition to EQ4U Non-Executive Director role as Financial Business Adviser.
Alan Beckley
Previous  public sector senior management experience in both operational and strategic roles including  functional  responsibility for management development.  Author of publications on public sector management and personal development and Managing  Editor of a number of quarterly professional journals.  
Masters  degree (MSc) in Management of Education, Masters degree in Law.  Licentiate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (LCIPD), Fellow Certified Management Consultant (FCMC), Institute of Management Consultancy (IMC). Qualified Management Assessor and Internal Verifier and Business Excellence Model and Best Value Assessor. Research Fellow at University College, Worcester, part- time lecturer at Aston Business School.  
Steve Griffiths
Steve is passionate about the application of emotional intelligence as a core component in the development of military leadership, following 39 years experience in the RAF as a pilot, flying instructor and senior manager.
His military role involved training and exercising the highest levels of national and international military and political staffs in a variety of war fighting and conflict resolution scenarios, and included making a leading contribution to a number of strategic and operational defence initiatives. Steve was awarded an MBE for exceptional performance achieved as part of this contribution. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is the author of flying training syllabuses, training manuals and instructor guides.
Stuart Emmett
Operational and strategic experience in varied commercial service industries gained in the UK and Nigeria. A particular interest in all the "people issues" of management processes, as well as in logistics and supply chain management. A prolific writer on these topics and has been widely published.   
Masters degree in Policy Transport Studies, BA Hons in Sociology and Systems. Fellow of the Institute of Logistics, the  Institute of Freight Forwarders and the Chartered Institute of Transport. Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the Institute of Leadership and Management. Qualified mentor, trainer and assessor/verifier.
Alan Horton
Alan is a is an experienced business professional with a unique blend of consulting,  facilitation and  coaching skills with proven experience in delivering solutions to a wide  range  of  business  environments  around  the  world. He has a unique combination of working at the highest levels inside multi-nationals and SME’s as well as becoming a much acclaimed consultant to the same business sector.   
As a  consultant  and  coach,  he  has  always  had  a  philosophy  that  consultants  should  understand, take their own ‘medicine’ and practice what they preach. 
Katalin Illes
BA,  MA,  PhD,  MBA  -  Managing  Director  of  Lead  Us  Alone  Ltd  training  and  development company and Senior Academic with  in-depth teaching  and  research  experience  in  Leadership,  Management  and  Personal  Development.

Peter Jackson
Peter turned his focus to coaching after a career in corporate IT and HR functions where his work on management, careers, and change management led to a growing interest in the dynamics of individual change. This is reflected in his developmental coaching approach which can be applied successfully   in both business and personal realms.  
Peter holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour and an MA in Coaching & Mentoring Practice. He teaches part-time at Oxford Brookes University and has written on coaching for both academic and professional publications. He is a Council Member of the Association for Coaching. 
Jill Lang
Experience in the Public Sector, FTSE 100 and Small / Medium sized organisations over 20 years in the attraction, retention and development of people in professional    and managerial roles. Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Associate of the Institute of Management Consultancy.

Nick Marlow
After twenty successful years in business and finance, within the FMCG Sales and Marketing and Purchasing disciplines, Nick now specialises in career management, behavioural work, combining both the business world and personal aspects of life. 
He has coached and counselled individuals at all levels and enabled clients to come to terms with a wide variety of situations, allowing them to begin clarifying and motivating themselves to achieve their personal goals.  A qualified therapist and counsellor, he is a Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) and has accreditation for the Diploma in Accounts and Finance.  
David Pardey
An experienced trainer and consultant, with a predominately public sector background, David has extensive experience of working with operational groups on process redesign and improvement. He has also researched and written widely on teamwork and leadership, with a focus on operational teams and team leading, and on the design and implementation of employee training and development systems. David is also a qualified practitioner in the use of the Apter Motivational Styles Profiler, a tool designed to explore how different motivational states affect individual's emotional responses and performance. David is particularly interested in the role that motivation plays in learning and in how the AMSP might be used to identify how training should be presented and delivered to enable more effective employee development.
Andy Parkes
Completed 32 years in a major Public Service Sector organisation working at a senior management level in an organisation with 4800 staff and £200m budget. Last role in the organisation was as the directorate for Equality, Diversity and Confidence. Experienced people manager, internal consultant in change management, implementation of project management systems and intelligence led business processes.
MA in Education and Professional Development, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. NVQ Qualified Assessor and Internal Verifier with assessment experience in management (strategic and operational), business administration, customer service, Equality and Diversity and training and development.
